Hi all

Have a desktop on the TC. I am a little confused though. It looks to be the same
desktop that is on the ltsp server if I log in. I figured it would be ...um... different?

Also, have no permission to write anything, so I need to enable that somewhere?

And, getting strange errors from php running on a local webserver; ( another box ) about
session issues when I hit it from the TC.

Ideas?

thanks!

Ok, so weirdness happens - I don't know if it was an update or what. Been using the
menu system on the local webserver for months. PHP wasn't in any of the updates, but we
did do a kernel update the other day. Guess that they fixed the permissions? I had to
change the owner of the session_files to fix the above error. Sure, OT but geesh!

The desktops should be the same.
Ltsp clients boot a minimal os, just enough to establish a connection to the server. The desktop session is actually running on the server by default. The magic of ltsp is that it automatically makes local devices from the client (mouse, display, sound, usb sticks, etc) available to the server, where your session is actually happening.
